Yellow Trillium Plants

Yellow Trillium Plants, also known as Trillium luteum or yellow wakerobin, is a flowering plant in the scientific family Melanthiaceae. It grows exceptionally well in hardy plant zones 4-7, which are present in places like North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia. The flower is also known to grow in remote locations in northern Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, Canada.

The Yellow Trillium's Characteristics

The flower usually has dark green leaves and bright yellow flowers with three to four petals. It typically reaches 16 or 40 centimeters at full maturity and can be as comprehensive as 14 inches or 30 centimeters. The flower is an herbaceous perennial that flowers only in the early to mid-spring season.

Growth

Yellow Trillium Plants grow best in moist, dense soil with good drainage

In its natural environment, they grow at the base of deciduous trees, where they enjoy heavy shade. The flower proliferates, and if the growing conditions are right, it takes only 4-6 months to reach its full height and width.

Uses

The beautiful yellow flower is often used as a decorative plant in yards and gardens across large northern and central United States swathes. It is an ideal garden flower because it can thrive in heavy shade and is deficient in maintenance. As long as the flower has fertilized soil and adequate water, it will do well.

Benefits

This Yellow Plant has a delightful aroma

The Yellow Trillium plants are another reason it is a favorite of many home gardeners. Its fragrance occurs around full maturity, right towards the end of spring, when the flower can be harvested and used in a homemade bouquet or floral arrangement. What is distinct about its fragrance is that it smells like lemon-scented flowers, which won it the Award of Garden Merit, a prestigious accolade given out by the Royal Horticultural Society in London, United Kingdom.

All arrived healthy and sprouting too!

Such a fantastic rare find and all came shipped sprouting! What incredible luck. I recommend this seller and to order in the early spring. I have my babies growing under a day light bulb indoors for now. Michigan is still up and down in temps so I want to be sure they are safe before planting.
